Build quality: The build quality is good, the product appears to be of good quality. I really like the fabric shade and I think they did a good job on the design. There are no obvious flaws, the device works very well. Air ionizer A small air ionizer is built into the fan. Since there is no on/off button I was really wondering if there was one or not, but you can smell the ionized air so I looked a little closer and about halfway through I found a tiny needle (generator) in the fan seen. . It didn't seem like much, but it was enough to provide a noticeable smell of fresh air, but certainly not as reliable as other air filters. No pre-filter / Unclear where to buy replacement filters. A pre-filter is listed as a feature on the product page (photo of the product page). #3) but the device doesn't have it, and there's no space to add my own, which I've tried. The back cover retainer is very weak and the door won't stay closed when you try to add a charcoal filter (last photo). Since I couldn't find a replacement for the air filters, I decided to find a way to add a pre-filter to extend the life of the filter. I ended up buying white tape to keep the door closed. Performance The device works well as an air filter and purifies a good amount of air, suitable for a small bedroom. Fan noise is comparable to other air filters. Always backlit / no "sleep mode" There is no option to turn off the backlight to enter sleep mode. It's fine if you use it as an office air filter, as the description "Desktop Air Filter" suggests. That might be too much light for some people's bedroom, but you can use black tape to cover the light. Final Thoughts: Overall, the device cleans the air well and works well as a small office filter. I love the smell of ionized air and this is one of the few small air filter boxes that has it. I recommend this product if you can add your own pre-filter or find a source for replacement HEPA filters.
