Saved my supplies while hiking in the national parks

I was on vacation for a full 6 days and this little device in my backpack kept my supplies going. Utah and I didn't want to lug around my hospital pump and all the parts, so I decided to take it easy and bought this little hand pump. It was easy to assemble and take apart. I just threw my milk away because I didn't wash it between uses and there was no way to freeze the milk or keep it at a safe temperature, so it made sense. But if I could keep it and return/gift it, this pump would help me build a small travel supply. I went home to my baby, continued breastfeeding and now I'm pumping while he's going back to kindergarten like nothing's changed! Pumping from both breasts is a bit awkward, as you can only suck on one breast at a time, which takes some time. but it's worth it. The pump also needs to be reasonably dry with no moisture between the silicone parts or the suction cup part will pop out and be painful to put back in during the pumping session. I really have nothing to complain about and am grateful for this little device! I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs an easy travel option, but it's probably not recommended to be used as a sole pumping device except as a last resort.

Pros
  • There's something to it
