Installed on my old Dyson a few months ago and it fit/worked great. Last week it started making a strange noise and I smelled burning plastic. Disassembled it and found that the plastic around the non-motor side of the bearing had completely melted and the brush was free to move in the housing. Since this keeps the brush in place during rotation, I have to order a new plug to use it. I put a new brush in my old suitcase which never had this problem in 10 years. Works great so far with the old one. Disappointed with the quality of the end cap on this one.
