112618 Update: Google searches show the standard toilet seat length is 16.5 inches (18 inches and 18.5 inches extended). Why Delta shortens the seat to 16.25 inches and does NOT highlight this in the ad. Buyers should at least be advised that this is a "non-standard" size. I downgraded to 🌟🌟 because the closer works very well. The inconvenience of the short, thin (insufficient depth (sitting closer to the bathroom floor than my knees feel)) of this product makes me uncomfortable, messy when cleaning up, and disheartening every time I enter the bathroom. .My return window is closed so all I can do now is give my opinion so here it is. I prefer a wider, softer seat and will diligently look for a replacement when the time comes. Measure accurately; my 0.25 inch is too short. I thought the size difference between round and oblong would be bigger. Will have to research Wal-Mart to verify this. Delta has a great reputation and it seems like a great product. Installation was easy. ; The hardest part was removing the old seat. I'm not sure what the clear plastic tabs are for, but the protruding bulges helped me place them correctly before inserting the screws. The flat sides of the wing nuts allowed for a snug fit and tightening was easy. I love the Delta and will be checking out the Wycliffe & Sanborne models. Thank you Reva! devastates my knees. The lid is nice and thick, but the seat is thinner than most stock seats, putting the user closer to the bare bowl. The soft close is still awesome, but I need to find a way to sit higher and not strain my sore knees.Originally rated ☆☆☆☆ because the front-to-back length is too short and the E- edge of the boiler is exposed.
