I have a Vitamix. I saw the need for this and am very glad I did. It's almost always the first thing I hold onto about many things. I have to cook at home, I buy a minimalist in the kitchen. I ended up not only using it for stirring during the mixing process, but also for whipping and scooping from jars. Not that you should take it just for that purpose, but I also have a few orthopedic issues. It feels comfortable in the hand and offers excellent leverage when mixing. It's designed to work with a blender as you can scrape it off the walls (the silicone is particularly good for this and it gets between the blades to scoop out whatever sweetness sits there defiantly taunting you).
