I bought this vacuum since I cannot afford a Dyson. I actually prefer this vacuum because, unlike the Dyson, it is corded. In my opinion, corded is better because you have more time to clean. It takes me more than 30mins to vacuum my entire house.I have used it on hardwood and carpet. I used it on "clean" carpet and it still managed to pick up a ton of dust. It is super powerful and gets warm as you use it. It is so lightweight that it feels like a toy. Also, super easy to assemble (less than 5 minutes)The only criticism is that it cannot stand upright on its own. You have to lean it against the wall. And there is no cord management. So, the cord cannot be stored away or wrapped around the vacuum. Such an odd oversight to an otherwise great vacuum.
