Okay. When I got this, the paper insert said RCA will be converted to HDMI, so it's like putting your new DVD on an old TV, not your old VCR on your HDMI TV. The description at the time of my order said otherwise. I'll keep it because it might come in handy as I have old TVs in a guest room. However, I haven't tried the adapter, so I'm giving it an average rating. I bought another adapter that does RCA or HDMI conversion and it worked fine, but I liked how the cables are built into these. I hope this helped. Much luck. By the way: There are long cables connected to the device.
