Works well in areas with slightly hard water deposits. The heavy sections helped tear it apart, but they had to be scraped off. I also used a stiff bristled electric drill brush and it worked well for small areas. It took a lot of scraping to remove the heavy areas, even after soaking in the tile for a while. Hard water was bad in my shower due to a leaking cartridge. It has been leaking since I moved into the 9 year old house. The assembly doesn't take long. I repaired the leak and also cleaned the tile at least 4 times leaving the product on for 4-10 minutes. The dried photo shows some dry water on the underside of the tile, but better than before. Not quick work requires some patience.
