It fits me perfectly and was a lot cheaper than a similar product from Yakima. In fact, I doubt the Yakima version will fit my modern trail bike, which is too long to fit between the fork mount and the rear wheel. But because the Filzer fork adapter is larger, I was able to angle it forward, creating additional length that allowed the rear tire to *easily* be aligned with the ratchet. It's in a U-shape, pointing up instead of down, so it rests on the metal instead of the skewer doing all the work. The last thing I want to mention is that it was a lot easier for me to install this on the bike first and then pull the bike onto the roof. It sounds like an either/or in the manuals, but in practice, putting the adapter on the stand makes it very difficult to align the thru-axle on an unsupported bike.
