It turned out to be more difficult to work with than I expected, but in the end it got the job done. When mixed it will have the consistency of wet sand - small bits will fall off as you knead it. When wet, it sticks very well to everything but clean, dry wood - rubber gloves, putty knife, yourself. I've had a couple of instances where I've pulled out an entire sheet to bend it into the corner. That being said, when it's dry it stays down well. The thinnest possible layer is probably half an inch or so. I used it to repair a windowsill that had rotten material removed from it and ended up laying it down in a very thick layer and then sanding it heavily with a sander to line it up with the rest of the windowsill. The end result looked good.
