Did the job of working hard when wet.

It turned out to be more difficult to work with than I expected, but in the end it got the job done. When mixed it will have the consistency of wet sand - small bits will fall off as you knead it. When wet, it sticks very well to everything but clean, dry wood - rubber gloves, putty knife, yourself. I've had a couple of instances where I've pulled out an entire sheet to bend it into the corner. That being said, when it's dry it stays down well. The thinnest possible layer is probably half an…

Good product and great price

This product will be re-used on a second project. I bought the first batch from a local sawmill (not many places sell it) and saved almost $10 by ordering from this supplier, even with taxes. I really like Wood Epox because it's so easy to mix and shape by hand. Dries very firmly and as I said does not shrink. I've used it on rotten porch columns (wow what a job) and I think once it cures it will be even more durable than the original wood. By the way, I'm not a guy and I'm not very familiar…

Definitely won Plastic Wood as a wood filler

A friend recommended this product for rotten window sashes. Although it was a little pricey (reason for 4 stars for the value), I gave it a try. I dug out all of the wood rot from the bottom portions of the top and bottom casements of the double casement window (probably 20% wood) and applied the product as directed. I used a spatula and dipped it in xylene to prevent the product from sticking to it to smooth it out and make sharp edges to minimize sanding. I left it overnight and used the…

Wood E Pox, Child of Chick N Pox

It's not what I expected at all but it's pretty cool. I used it to keep my existing porch columns and connect the balustrades to the columns with no sealant as the exterior sealant will always show through the paint. This tan dries out - I swear it should dry to white - but it holds the color well, so it's not too much of a problem. It's easy to use as you can hold a drop in one hand and apply with the other hand. The catering gloves (and plastic spatula) they give you are the cheapest out…

Amazing must-have

restoration of a 75 year old house including wooden windows and paneling. This material is absolutely necessary for my restoration work. This is my favorite wood repair product. Easy to use and apply, it can be molded into any shape and fills wood areas flawlessly. Recently I was working on a wooden window frame, large chunks of which had rotted away. I've used both Abatron LiquidWood on spongy areas (if you haven't checked out this product do so as it's just as great) and this putty to fill in
