A friend recommended this product for rotten window sashes. Although it was a little pricey (reason for 4 stars for the value), I gave it a try. I dug out all of the wood rot from the bottom portions of the top and bottom casements of the double casement window (probably 20% wood) and applied the product as directed. I used a spatula and dipped it in xylene to prevent the product from sticking to it to smooth it out and make sharp edges to minimize sanding. I left it overnight and used the grinder the next day. Grinding was easy. The new "tree" was solid. I painted after sanding and the wings are fully restored. Tip: I cut small pieces of WD-40 coated cardboard to fit in the wing's channels (for the thermopane window and weather strip) to prevent product seepage. I was able to extract them after setting up the product without destroying the new "tree". I will never go back to Plastic Wood. Abatron WoodEpox is a fantastic product, I wish I had known 10 years ago. Also, it's not sold by Lowes or Home Depot. Ace has it, but they're gone. Of course, Revane was able to fulfill my order. thanks jeff
