restoration of a 75 year old house including wooden windows and paneling. This material is absolutely necessary for my restoration work. This is my favorite wood repair product. Easy to use and apply, it can be molded into any shape and fills wood areas flawlessly. Recently I was working on a wooden window frame, large chunks of which had rotted away. I've used both Abatron LiquidWood on spongy areas (if you haven't checked out this product do so as it's just as great) and this putty to fill in areas. I was missing whole pieces of wood from this window frame and was able to fill it, sand it to shape and basically restore the sash with this product. Once cured it sands just like wood and holds the color well (I haven't used stain so can't comment on how it performs in that area). I use this all the time and once I'm done I'll order more. Fantastic product. My only "desirable" comment is this: LiquidWood is a clear liquid (also a two-part product) that strengthens spongy or loose wood and does the job well, but it's a liquid. It's putty, so use it like putty or baby dough - shape it, fill in wood areas with it, let it cure and sand as needed. I just want Abatron to release something between liquid and putty. something like icing or cake batter that can be smoothed out with a spatula and pressed into cracks and holes. That's fine, but you can't smooth it out with a spatula as it's too "loose" for that. However, if you are in the wood repair business, this is the most outstanding product, both in application and in post-curing.
