I bought these straps because of the warranty and am confident they will hold up to the elements. I use them to attach ladder stands to wood so durability is important as my safety depends on it, although I also wear a seat belt. These belts are exposed to the weather every second of the day, so we'll see if they're weatherproof. Other non-polyester straps I had eventually deteriorated and broke. I would give this five stars but when installing the strap around the tree the ratchet handle bent/bent when I drove it home to really tighten it. I didn't want to go back to the truck and grab another one, so I took the other crank at a different angle and turned two more cranks with ease. This made the stand very strong and secure against the wood. It stays secure as only the handle is flexed, not the ratchet assembly. If I have a problem with it, I'm sure the company with their lifetime warranty will replace it. They seem very proud of their company and the quality of their products.
