Review on General Tools 823 Protractor Increments by Chad Black

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very accurate, repeatable and easy to read

the "straightness" of both scales and the driver's 90-degree square, both were accurate. I used a precisely made Woodpeckers triangle to test 45 degrees and it was accurate too. It's a bit long for checking angles on a miter saw, but it can be made to work. Works well for miter cuts with a table saw. There are many applications for this sensor and so far I am very happy with it. I've found that getting the "knob" at the right angle isn't difficult if you tighten it fairly slowly. It hasn't been on the market long enough to attest to its functionality for a long period of time. For me it is worth the price.

Pros
  • LARGE LCD DISPLAY. The easy-to-read LCD eliminates the need to guess angles and length by eye, with a handy protractor
Cons
  • I'll add later
