I first used the nv in 1971 when I was with the 82nd Airborne Division, it was called the Starlight Scope, quite heavy (30lbs) and it looked like a corrector . telescope, and this nvd from Creative beats it hands down. This is a great NV device if you don't want to spend a few thousand dollars on a 3rd gen NVD. To be honest I bought them for a SHTF event to see something at night and they are perfect for the price. I've uploaded two photos of wild turkeys that live in my area. The range on turkeys is at least 300 to 500 feet as you can see you can actually see the head and neck of a turkey or two, quite a bit of detail but I still wish the focus was a bit sharper but I have no doubt that it will be enough. So if you're looking for a good NVD on a budget, check out these NV binoculars from Creative.
