First of all these bulbs are a shade of blue (not as blue as my phone camera but not 6000k white either). I personally think it's great - I have no problem with it at all. Second, they are brighter than standard halogen bulbs or other bulbs, but they are not extremely bright LED bulbs. If you're not into extremely bright LEDs, that's fine. Finally, my experience with this will likely differ from yours depending on your vehicle's dome light housing, amplifier design, etc. I have a 2001 Mazda Protege ES. , and thanks to the way my dome light body is structured, I was able to glue 3 of these bulbs together (evenly and side by side) and then use copper wire to securely connect them to the original socket as a unit, and still have the plastic. the cover fits properly. So yeah, one bulb alone isn't that bright (albeit bright enough) but if you can put two or more together you'll have a really nice and bright night under the dome. Warning: I tried different combinations first. (two of them plus an extremely bright JDM ASTAR DE3175 bulb) and blown a fuse or two. Different LEDs will probably have different voltages/amps/whatever, so if you want to try what I've done here you might just have to try and see what works for your car. For my car, 3 of these bulbs are a good physical fit and the voltage/amps are within the rated limit. It's a fun trial and error process in my opinion, and backups don't cost that much either.
