The original LEDs were a 39mm cord but they were too big and bright white with a bluish tint. This made them very bright (too bright) for the map illumination. I might replace them with these if they fail. Does anyone know if the goodwill or autozone will allow me to donate these (39mm headlights)?

Looks good. Bright white, just what I wanted! Not as dull whitish blue as some other LEDs. I was also concerned about my car's dimming feature when you open and close the doors; Instead of some cars turning on or off abruptly, mine dims and turns off the interior lights, but these lights handle it like a boss and dim without flickering or stuttering.

Normally you expect LEDs to be very bright. automatic door lights) actually illuminates most of the interior of my SUV. For those who complain about "burnout" or "not enough bright light". You run this risk with all car lamps, including halogen lamps. But the high price for them far outweighs the risk.

My SUV has two interior lights so I replaced them both with these. I also have two lights at the bottom of the rearview mirror, two other map displays, and two floor lamps under the dash that ALL light up/or stay on if someone leaves the dash switch or rear (window) sunroof on! So I replaced ALL with J-Tech LED equivalent bulbs. Now I won't get into an SUV with a dead battery! Unless of course I left the headlights on - OOP. My fault!

First of all these bulbs are a shade of blue (not as blue as my phone camera but not 6000k white either). I personally think it's great - I have no problem with it at all. Second, they are brighter than standard halogen bulbs or other bulbs, but they are not extremely bright LED bulbs. If you're not into extremely bright LEDs, that's fine. Finally, my experience with this will likely differ from yours depending on your vehicle's dome light housing, amplifier design, etc. I have a 2001 Mazda…
