Installing this motor was quick and easy. It also has three or four harnesses to connect to either version, which is a big plus. A few years ago I bought a competitor model for the passenger door and that model didn't have the wiring harnesses. Also, this model moves the glass slightly faster than the standard motor. That's a big plus too. For those who have never changed a lift motor, you may need to drill two holes to access two of the three bolt heads. It made no sense, and that's Ford's most ridiculous act. There are two indentations in the metal sheet of the door that reveal the heads of the two screws that need to be accessed. The hole must be large enough for the bushing to fit the screw head. I would recommend a screwdriver with a magnetic socket rather than a socket. This greatly simplifies the work. Be sure to use tape or a window stay when removing the old motor. The window can fall off when the motor is removed, and a broken window complicates the task and makes it harder to fix in the driveway. From opening the garage to closing it only takes 30-40 minutes before the engine is removed.
