Review on Yakima SingleSpeed: The 🚲 Ultimate Bike Rack for Easy Transportation by Ans Brownlee

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Pretty good stand: UPGRADE AGAIN from 3 stars to 2 to 1

A bit wobbly, but it's ok for my purposes. Very difficult to get out of the tube. I think I'll have to stop using it and just grab some elastic cords to secure the bike. UPDATE: Well I've been using this rack for about 6 months now. When first shipped it came with a broken part (the spring that goes in the tongue that goes in the clutch). The company quickly provided a new needle and it was enough to assemble this rack. But now the screws are broken. popped out of the nut plate on one side of the post, and the nut plate itself fell out as well. The rack is now useless as it is not safe at any speed. Once again, the company is sending me replacement units quickly and free of charge. I appreciate it. However, it's not clear if the rack's condition is good enough to hold replacement hardware, as the rack now appears to be warped on one side. To be honest I would pay a lot more for this rack just for the light weight and convenience. if it had higher quality components. LATEST UPDATE: Even though this rack was installed properly, it just detached from my car and my bike was securely attached to it. Both the trunk and the bike ended up on the highway. Beyond the frenzy.
