Did it, I didn't find my air chisel very useful so I'm glad I bought a set that had an end I could use with a hammer. Edit: After a few years of ownership and several ball joint swaps, it finally snapped onto the threads. The problem was with the air hammer, there is no way to prevent the threads from loosening when using the air tool. Eventually it broke after several attempts to tighten the threads. Now if I can just replace the part that screws into the fork. The good news was that the manual part was good enough to finish the job.
