This tiny box (about half the size of a deck of playing cards) has a USB-C port on one side and a USB-A port on the other. It comes with a very short USB-C to USB-A cable that you plug into your car's CarPlay port. When you connect the adapter for the first time, you will be prompted (on the main unit display) to connect your phone via USB or Bluetooth (this will give you the device name). A few seconds after connecting via Bluetooth, your phone will ask if you want to use CarPlay. Answer yes and a second later the CarPlay screen will appear on the head unit. Ready. Every time you get in your car, you no longer have to take your phone out of your pocket and put it in your pocket: it connects automatically and gives you access to Siri, navigation and everything you are used to. with CarPlay. do nothing. The connection takes 20 to 30 seconds, which is not bad at all. To update your device while connected, simply use Safari on your phone to navigate to 192.168.50.2. Mine detected the update, downloaded it, and installed it in minutes - easily and quickly. Amazingly simple and easy to use and it works great! Highly recommended.
