Moki didn't use this item to mount him, so I removed all the metal screws from the wooden poles and placed the poles in his habitat to use as obstacles. Moki likes to jump over things so I used her too. set up in his large playpen to huddle up when he has some gym time in his large playpen. I really like the feeding bowl that screws into the base. I place a wooden base in his large octagonal playpen and add some seeds to the cup for him to scoop up. The base is really pretty and the three pieces of wood firmly attached to it is another thing Moki likes to jump over. The base provides a good solid platform on which to sprinkle seeds for forage enrichment. I give this item five stars for quality and versatility, especially because the stem bolts are easy to loosen with a small wrench and a little twist.
