If it didn't smell I would say the purple color is just beautiful. If it didn't smell I'd say it's incredibly soft. would like to point out that even 8 strands is not enough to do anything other than the smallest projects. But it smells. And this very strong smell, a mixture of perfume and mold, is so terrible that I immediately had to remove the wool bag from the room and wash my hands. In this form it is completely useless. I've been crocheting for about half a century. I have sewn dozens of blankets and probably hundreds of baby blankets. I've never come across a yarn that smells, let alone smells that way. Just awful.
