Review on πŸ”₯ iUniker Raspberry Pi 4 Case with Large 4007 Cooling Fan, Heatsink, and Metal Enclosure by James Collins

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The air doesn't really let through, but it looks good.

I was very happy to get this during my experimentation with the RPi, but after working with it for a few weeks the shine faded for a number of reasons. The case is very well made and has accessible cutouts. for all but the most important, in my opinion, the microSD memory card slot. I'm experimenting with different OS options for my Pi, and since the microSD slot is completely covered by the case, I either have to leave the top panel (including the fan) or install an extension cable that extends outside the case. a business. None of the solutions are optimal for me. Being used to air cooling on a mid-range PC, I expected both air intakes and exhausts to ensure proper airflow. This case doesn't at all. The fan is mounted on pedestals on the solid surface of the "lid" and simply forces air around the provided heatsinks, but doesn't actually move air through the case, drawing cold air into the chamber and expelling heated air from the case. Camera. Luckily I'm still a noob and haven't really stressed the CPU enough to cause it to overheat, but I definitely saw what's going on in this particular case. For the experienced experimenter who doesn't really want to play with a microSD card. , or if you really only use the device as a light Internet surfer and don't want to stress the CPU, you should have a usable case that is very attractive.
