I purchased this to create a curved ridge line for hanging a 40 foot tarp to create an "A-FRAME" to store a tall 25 foot boat. When outdoors in Seattle, he sees all 4 seasons and years of UV lighting. This low tension 5/8 line seemed perfect to me and my setup went well. I also bought it because it has 3 strands as I wanted to make an eyelet on one end. Of course not many people might splice these days but that would be the only downside to this line as each of the 3 strands is made up of many individual soft strands that don't stay together so they unwind on their own. This creates an unmanageable mess unless you focus on constantly twisting each thread as much as possible. Again, the connection is sloppy and loose. The eye was functioning normally, but I definitely wouldn't show it to anyone.
