These bags were listed with a 6-8 gallon capacity, but what wasn't clear was the shape. I purchased an 8-gallon capacity trash can, and what I didn't realize was that these bags are more squat and square than tall and narrow, which is how my trash can is designed. They don't reach the bottom of my trash can, and therefore don't stay attached at the top of the interior can liner. When we put our compost waste into them, they fall down, even when I attempt to tie a knot to a top corner and put it through the hole with the anchor slot. It should be made clear that these are for a short, square container, and not a tall kitchen garbage can. As far as durability/breakdown speed, we haven't yet tested them with much liquid, but they seem good in that regard. I will be ordering the 13-gallon capacity bags for my 8-gallon trash can from now on.
