Great value for the price

I just switched from another ASTM D6400 certified brand and have found this to be a better value. The price per bag is lower (due to purchasing a 200 bag box vs a 100 bag box) and the bags themselves are slightly thicker. I've yet to have any leakage from the bags, which is something I experienced with the last brand if I waited too long to take the compost out. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the switch.

Pros
  • They are biodegradable
Cons
  • Cost is higher than traditional garbage bags

Rips very easily on my review.

The bag rips as soon as I pull it out of the trash can. I tried double bagging it and both bags rip. I'm not filling the bag up too much either.

Pros
  • Perfect size for a small garbage can and durable.
Cons
  • Not sure if this product has changed but the bags have been tearing right out of the box.

Sturdy quality, good price and fits my Black Earth Compost bin

I was looking for good quality compost bags for my bin at a reasonable price. The ones I am able to buy from the compost company are quite pricey. These fit my bin well and are not subject to the tearing that I was experiencing with the other brand I had been using. I will definitely buy these again in the future.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Can be more expensive per bag than traditional garbage bags

Pricey but worth it

As with most of these "compostable" trash bags, they are expensive. I personally think it's worth it. This brand is sturdier than a few other less expensive brands I have tried. Just have to be careful to double bag if you're going to be throwing damp/wet and warm stuff in the garbage that will sit for a couple of days. They will begin to decompose quickly and leak. This type of plastic bags should have been a standard decades ago but, corporations sold us on the nonsense that cheap plastic…

Pros
  • I can put food waste in the county compost bin instead of in the sewer via the garbage disposer.
Cons
  • May not hold heavy items well

Not heavy duty - my new review

I really was excited to try compostible trash bags and I kinda figured they wouldn't be the strongest in the world, but if our tall trash can ends up with a little weight, I have to double bag a lot. It probably works better for compostibles (greens), but as a trash bag itself, would probably require taking out the trash pretty frequently since the bags themselves can't take too much weight.

Pros
  • Manufactured without harmful chemicals
Cons
  • Not as widely advertised as traditional garbage bags

Not super functional

I loved the idea of being eco-friendly with this product. However the bags don’t have any top ties to cinch and close the top once it’s full. So I end up having to take the trash out before it’s completely full because I’ll need that extra room to tie the top off. Probably won’t purchase again and will look for one that has the cinch.

Pros
  • Provides a sustainable solution for waste management
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to remove from the trash can than traditional garbage bags

Thick and leak proof

These bags were a priced right and are quite thick. They are much thicker than the ones I purchased from my local store (and were less expensive.) So far they are performing okay but I have one complaint.every few bags will come apart for no reason. I have to handle them more gently to prevent the sides from tearing becaue they tear fairly easily, which is surprising as they are quite thick. Other than that, they don't leak and when handled carefully, I can twist and knot them easily. I just…

Pros
  • Biodegrades quickly in anaerobic environments
Cons
  • Packaging may not be as attractive as traditional garbage bags

Dispose of promptly or build a compost pile instead.

Dispose of filled bag promptly or bag will begin to breakdown quickly. Third box of these bags have a hole in the side of the bags. Composting leaves and grass onsite if possible would be better option.

Pros
  • Resistant to leaks and spills
Cons
  • Some users may find them more difficult to store than traditional garbage bags

Great quality good for me

Very impressed with the quality of this bags. The expansion they have is great and works well to put in all yard trash. That's my review.

Pros
  • ‎9.5 pounds
Cons
  • Can be more prone to leaking than traditional garbage bags

Durable and perfect size

I love using these compostable trash bags knowing I’m doing good for the planet by using them. These are a great size. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • ‎Plastic
Cons
  • More prone to punctures and tears than traditional garbage bags

Great for the environment

These are the only bags I will buy. They are not the strongest bags, but they do work. If I fill them very heavy, I definitely put my hand under the bag to transport it. I have rarely had a bag break, but it has happened. I buy these bags because I want to reduce our use of single use plastic. That is my number 1 goal.

Pros
  • ‎7.09 x 8.46 x 7.48 inches
Cons
  • Packaging may not be environmentally friendly

Best compostable bags!

I've tried several different brand's of compostable bag's and these are the best so far! These are actually strong bags, very durable and stay together well. We're sticking with this brand. Thx u for providing a good value as well.

Pros
  • Strong and durable
Cons
  • Not as stretchy as traditional garbage bags

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good for non-kitchen waste

Good to use with dry, light weight trash. I had to double the bags for any kitchen waste. Once it gets wet inside, it somehow "melts” through the bag, and starts to leak.

Pros
  • Reduces greenhouse gas emissions caused by traditional plastic bags
Cons
  • May have a more limited capacity than traditional garbage bags

Strong compostable trash bags

I use these for my small bathroom trash can and they hold up without leaking and tearing, which is an issue I've had with other brands. I definitely recommend these if you're trying to make the switch from polluting plastic trash bags to environmentally responsible compostable trash bags.

Pros
  • Disclaimer: When placing non-compostable trash in a compostable trash bag, the rate of the plastic breaking down for a compostable bag will not be significantly different than a non-compostable bag buried in the same conditions at a landfill with anaerobic conditions.
Cons
  • Composting facilities may not recognize them as compostable

Just what I was looking for

These are just as advertised. They are a great replacement for the common 13 gallon kitchen bags that are non biodegradable as they are mostly made out of polyethylene. You get a lot of bags for the price. Great seller and fast shipping. It is nice to support these green technologies as they continue to improve and take over more of the market and make a difference. I will now buy these instead of the plastic ones commonly found in the big box stores even if a little less durable.

Pros
  • Soft, flexible and easy to handle
Cons
  • Can be more prone to splitting open than traditional garbage bags

Reli Durable: my feedback

The new waste management company picking up trash in my neighborhood requires decompostable bags be used. These bags seem to be perfect. They are durable and sturdy.

Pros
  • Ideal for those who want to reduce their environmental impact
Cons
  • Some users may prefer the familiarity of traditional garbage bags

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It fits my trash can!

3 gallon bags did not allow the bag to fit properly at the top of my wider-than-normal small trash can. This 4 gallon bag is perfect and allows the edges of the bag to fit properly over the edges of the can. Th

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • May not be as easy to find in stores as traditional garbage bags

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strongest bags thus far

A little pricey compared to plastics but, so much stronger, and being bio-friendly is a plus. I have been trying plastic substitute bags that are compostable and so far these are the best. I will definitely start using these.

Pros
  • I love using these compostable bags. What I don't understand is why they come wrapped in plastic!?!?!
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find the correct size for your trash can

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Many of the bags rip when opening up to use. Bad quality.

Some percentage of the bags simply rip apart so as to be unusable, upon opening to place in a trash can. These are of poor quality, do not buy these.

Pros
  • ‎Green
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of waste

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Plastics are a problem, these are a reasonable solution.

These are compostable bags, so I didn't expect much in categories of durability or sturdiness, but they work ok, well enough that I'll keep using them. They are not as puncture proof as the name brand ones, but I like that they actually decompose. Plastics are a problem and I hope this is one way to address the issue.

Pros
  • Strong sturdy bags to clean up after our four legged friends.
Cons
  • One hasn't burst on me yet, but they sure do threaten too. Note I use these as kitchen bags
