Good. when I got my mortar and pestle. Although it looked very nice, it had a small crack that extended quite a distance and was also stained on and around this crack. Many may not have bothered, but I didn't. I was very upset and Melanie (at company) was very welcoming and they did everything they could to ensure I was happy with the replacement. And it didn't take long either. Here's an example of turning something bad into a profit. And the new mortar and pestle is a work of art! I think cracking is a real problem with these items and I'm sure you are aware of it. But it turned out really great. I am very happy with the new one! So if you get damaged, everything is fine. They will take care of you! HH
