This brand is highly rated but this unit was poorly conceived and has 2 major design flaws. 1) There is no gasket or seal for the lid; this allows extra vapor to escape and for water and oily residue to pool around the unit (even when only half full) While some wetness is to be expected with water-based diffusers, the unit leaves a very large wet area even when placing on a plate or towel - so be careful not to let it damage the surface it is placed on. 2) The plug is on the bottom of the unit and recessed. This feature wouldn't typically be an issue but since the lid just sits on the rim and doesn't "lock" in any way, you have to carefully lift the unit from the bottom to unplug and refill. Disappointing product from a reputable brand. Hope to have better luck with another unit - but don't waste your money on this model.
