Does this strap really work?
, I have had this anti-static strap on my 1994 Ford Explorer work truck for three weeks now. I read reviews ranging from "works great" to "waste of money" before I bought and tried it. So far this has worked great for me. No more electric shocks when I get out of the car. I live in Los Angeles where the weather is usually dry (= high static electricity). However, on two occasions I noticed that I felt a slight jerk when exiting the truck (not to be compared to the "shocking experience" before I fastened my seat belt). The first time I was a bit taken aback, the second time I actually saw what happened: well, I slipped over the polyester padding and got static! It was NOT a truck! So the tape works!
