These bags are 24 inches high and 24 inches wide. So, in theory, it should fit in a jar about 20 inches tall and 48 inches in circumference. Now that the bag is tucked in at the bottom, the total "usable height" is about 16-18 inches (not including the ledge). I use them in an 18 inch tall shredder box with about a 2 inch overhang and a bottom. The bag barely touches the bottom of the shredding box. Overall strength seems good.
