It is best to mount it on a wooden plate that is screwed into the studs.

Ideal for storing a 1U device. Because most studs are 16 to 24 inches long on the center, depending on local codes, rather than 19 inches, it's best to use a piece of plywood behind the unit to provide solid support if you're mounting a server or heavy hang up the device.
