I have a device with extra outlets, but the plugs are too close together for their size. I thought I could solve this problem. I was about to install it and before the plug even touched the outlet, there was a blue spark and the smell of burning electricity. It burned the back before I could connect and now I have a dead socket. I need to go to the hardware store, turn off my light switch and replace my outlet thanks to this thing. I will spend more money on UL listed products from a reputable company. If I could give zero stars I would because it's a fire hazard. I think it deserves a refund and even more so because I will be at home in the store spending time and money fixing it. Yes, a GFCI socket, and yes, it's dead. EDIT: Looking at the list, it says so directly. can be used on GFCI sockets given the 2 screw positions provided. If you look at my picture of the blown plug you will see that the outlets use No Ground Fault Interrupter (GFCI). My exploded socket is in the GFCI circuit but was not connected to a GFCI socket with a test and reset button. My dog's underground fence is also in this chain. Haven't heard from the seller just hoping the $5 store I bought from Lowe is all I need. Dissatisfied and returning to Tripp Lite products.
