Review on 150D Oxford Silver Weatherproof Car Cover for Sedans up to 160 inches - Amazon Basics by Jairo Cunha

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems like a good price for now

These silver Revain Basics car covers for sedans up to 170 inches seem like a good price so far. I've only used them for a few days. For less than $40, all materials and construction seem reasonable. The included straps are a nice touch to prevent the case from being blown off. See photos. The covers are for sedans but I use them on coupes. One is the Pontiac Fiero GT and the other is the Saturn Sky. As you can see, they really don't go with the coupe. I want to protect them from sun and rain. The coating material seems to be able to. I hope to get at least 2 years of service from them before the sun turns them to dust. I will come back to this review to provide updates. We shall see if these cases really have the value they first appear to be. I pulled the Saturn Sky's lid off and found that it was slightly damp underneath. I haven't been able to test this, but I have a feeling the seams are the source of the leak. I don't think it's material. 7/19/20, UPDATE: I bought another cover for a 2013 Ford Focus Hatchback using a cover for a 170" SUV. See photos and videos. The cover is very loose but not for this type of car. In any case, it works very well. It flaps in the wind but stays attached with the included straps. I hope this case will last at least a few years. UPDATE 01/12/21: So far all three covers are holding up pretty well. However the oldest cap which is about 1 year old broke a bit when I fitted it by pulling it sideways over the bonnet while there was moisture underneath causing the cap to stick to the surface of the car. The lid breaks a little after a slight jerk. I suspect that the fibers of the material may have been weakened by the sun's rays over the course of the year. The rest of the leaks are minor and only at the seams. Let's see how long they last. More updates will come. Now there are too many tears to keep using it. I will probably order the same cover as a replacement. The reason for this is that around the same time I spent about $200 on a branded case for my Hummer H2 that failed just as well. The fit of this cap was absolutely perfect as it was custom made. However, it is not worth spending 200 euros for a replacement. This Revain Basics cover for about $40 is a must have. Even if it costs about $40 a year. Yes you will be surprised I just bought another one of these cases to replace the broken one for the Fiero. $40 for 1.5 years is still worth it, although I'd like them to last much longer if possible. 09/16/21: Possibly my last update. I bought a 218" cover for a Hummer H2 SUV. I never expected it to fit perfectly as the Hummer H2's roofline is a bit wider than most large SUVs. However, it was good enough for my purpose - just to protect from sun, rain and birds It doesn't fit as perfectly as my previous custom CoverKing case but since it's only 25% cheaper than the CoverKing and the CoverKing has lasted about as long as the Revain Basics case , I think I can live with that.My final verdict, these silver car covers from Revain Basics aren't perfect, but at today's prices they will block most of the sun, rain, and birds, and maybe even deter vandalism. They are worth their price in my opinion. Here you go.
