Review update - I know America's Test Kitchen rated it highly, but I'm surprised - after a few months of use, the underside of the magnet on the handle is rusting and peeling off! They are always washed in the dishwasher and placed at an angle so that the water can drain off. The magnet is clearly not stainless steel and I avoid rusting when working with food. My previous review - I want to love it and while I found it nice and sturdy - the handle is nice and strong, doesn't bend - but the tangs are stainless steel which signifies its poor quality. Also, they have a measurement printed on top and a measurement after just a few dishwasher washes has already started rinsing half a cup - yes it's wearing off - with my thumb I thought it was dirty so I rubbed my fingertip and it just went further come off Hmmm. it would be much better if it was engraved instead of printed! I called OXO to send them back which they agreed as they are only 7 months old and are rusting and losing their markings but they do NOT cover return shipping so I had to pay $9.75 postage to get a refund check . after 3-4 weeks. Not great customer service in my opinion considering their food measuring product rusts and bits of metal fall off the grate. Overall, I like OXO, so I was really surprised by this policy - not to mention it took me an hour of my time to call support, send them a receipt, fill out the lengthy return form required, and send the package back.
