This was the perfect solution for me; Something like that. I've had a surround sound system in my home for the last 8 years and have run 100 feet of wire to each of the surround back speakers in my living room. I then bought a new Vizio SB3651-e6c soundbar to replace my setup. Everything worked fine except for the rear speakers. I couldn't use the cables that came with the system to connect the new surround speakers to the subwoofer since each is only 25 feet long, so I had to use the existing wiring, adding RCA connectors at each end. I bought these connectors as they seemed perfect for the job, only to find that the connector's rubber housing stretches as it travels from the plug to the terminals. The new speakers and RCA jacks in the subwoofer have recessed RCA jacks, and those sliding cabinet jacks were too wide to fit properly. I ended up having to cut off some of the rubber casing that surrounded the connectors. I've managed to get them to fit the body snugly, but each fork now has little to no rubber coating to support them and they're a little flimsy. The fact that they are in the recess actually helps support the forks themselves. So they work, but you either have to make sure you don't have sunken forks or you have to shave off the body of the forks to get them to fit. Aside from this minor change, they work as expected.
