Review on Top Chef by Master Cutlery 🔪 15-Piece Knife Set: A Culinary Master's Essential Tool by Elizabeth Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Goes well with the most well-known brands such as Henkles, Wüsthof, etc.

I understand that some are skeptical when it comes to a brand that many people know with more well-known knives such as Heckles, Wüsthof, Global , to compare. etc. may not have heard of Master Cutlery's Top Chef line. But I will do it anyway. I also understand that even brands with the best reputations have lines that are "more affordable" to them and so may not be the best barometer of comparison if you've never owned a number of their best lines. The knives range from dozens, rather, to hundreds and even thousands for some of the leading lines of leading brands, especially from German or Japanese manufacturers. What makes these knives from Top Chef quite unique is that I think they measure up well to some of the top lines from top German consumer brands in terms of both design and finish. I've used Henkles, Wüsthof, established mid-range brands like Chicago and Mercer, and great but slightly overpriced brands like Global, and admittedly it's often difficult to tell the difference in quality between certain products. 4/500.00 sets and some 800/1000.00 sets. Until now, however, I've almost always been able to tell a $100 set from a $4 or $500 set. These knives literally rival the best brands in performance and quality, thanks to a balanced single shaft design and superior SG stainless steel. The block would be this set's only weakness, but it's not enough to deter any budget conscious buyer looking for a standout deal from purchasing this set for its primary purpose, knives. The second best buy is Mercer knives in terms of value for money. Why are these knives so cheap? Easy. They are assembled in China (although the material/components are top notch). There are literally no other reasons. There is a small portion of Chinese-made products that don't suffer from quality control (although they are blocked) like most of their counterparts, and this is one such example. Master Cutlery have ensured that the high standards of quality control that distinguish the finest and best knives on the consumer market from the cheap are the same in their sets, regardless of whether they are made in a country that is gaining a solid reputation Has. Light quality according to its light value. As I said, this is one of those exceptions. At around a hundred and fifty dollars, it's worth checking out. Unless the name on the label or the country of manufacture tell you that much, you won't be disappointed at this price point or even higher. If so, then no doubt spend a few hundred or more more to get a comparable set and better unit. By the way, the word "China” is nowhere on the knives themselves. On the box only; if it makes a difference to you.
