Well, they just aren't done right. The stitching you see in the picture actually goes through and does not allow the strap to be used for its intended purpose. On my Cressi cover, which I wear on my mask, the stitching is for some parts of the velcro that keeps the cover flat but allows the strap through. On them you can hardly open the ends to attach a small strap. Once you thread a piece of the strap through, press on the seams, which turns the double strap into a single strap as best as possible. look at the second picture. Sorry, but these just missed the mark.
