Review on 🔍 WIX Filters 51394: High-Performance Spin-On Lube Filter - Single Pack by Kyle Robinson

I switched from another brand to these for use in my 2005 Prius and am happy with the decision. Although I changed the filter with every oil change, I was confident that their design would make them last a lot longer. If you open one of these (or watch a video of someone doing this) you'll see that these filters are made of sheet metal, stamped and corrugated to hold the filter elements together with a spring-loaded relief valve. Most other filters use plastic or rubber and glued cardboard in the relief valves. And while other filters work well enough, I just don't feel confident enough as motor oil can act as a weak solvent, perhaps even more so with what the oil can absorb over its lifetime. However, I am fairly confident that these Wix filters will be fitted to my cars and will continue to do so. And damn, they cost about the same as other filters, so why not?
