Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhance Ride Comfort with Monroe 40034 Specialty/Electronic Shock Absorber by Stephen Good

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks expensive until you call the dealer.

After 193,000 miles my stock shocks failed as expected and I was tired of hearing the air compressor run non-stop. These dampers were easy to swap out and I immediately felt the difference as I backed out of the driveway. $200 is a lot for a shock (albeit a lot less than a dealer!), but if you're in the towing business, it's good to have an autoride system to level the rear of the car. As you can see from my photo they don't look exactly the same but I am rating them on their value for money. I also like that they don't rule out an adjustable cushioning system like some of the other replacement options.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
