I have had Harmon-K Soundsticks for over 5 years and had to buy a new set because my cats ate the cords like candy. It may not seem immediately, but dust, liquid and other dirt get into this hole of the tube. You may have the most sterile area, but you will eventually see moisture and dust settling on this beautiful bass tube. For less than $10, you can make it look ugly and still get bunny ears.
