Noticing that the filtered water didn't taste very good, I tried the water from my new filter. It was 167 ppm. The tap water here is 181 ppm straight from the tap. While Pureup does clean the water a bit, it doesn't even come close to the 50 ppm expected from a carbon filter. To make sure my water tester wasn't to blame, I tested the water from my Zero Filtration System (also fitted with a compatible filter) which showed a concentration of 3ppm. my conclusion? Pureup filters do not reach the quality of original Brita filters.
