So the medium length fit my arm perfectly, it supported my hand so it does not hang over the very edge of the sling. This is a sling and not a brace so it is made from a soft fabric material. There are no specific instructions stating if this is machine washable but I believe it can be. There are good plastic loops and velcro straps to hold your arm in place. The stitching is good and strong. i did find the abduction pillow a bit on the large size for my needs. The abduction pillow is made from firm foam that is wrap in the same soft fabric material. Pillow is stitched closed so the inside foam is not removable and will be a challenge to clean. Comes with a draw string plastic bag for storage. Instructions are in chinese but there are several pictures that you can use to apply the sling.
