This Velpeau Arm Sling with the abduction pillows is almost identical to the one prescribed by her Surgeon when she recently had a shoulder replacement on her right arm. So the medium length fit my arm perfectly, it supported my hand so it does not hang over the very edge of the sling. This is a sling and not a brace so it is made from a soft fabric material. I really want to give this brace a higher score, but there are a couple of things that really hold it back. Everything feels sturdy and durable from the fabric, stitching and handgrip. The torso strap and shoulder harness connect to the arm with three pronged plastic clasps like the ones on a fanny pack or certain over the shoulder bags, but if they're not being stressed to their absolute limit I don't see them being a major point of failure.There is a high level of customization for the angle…

This is a quality product. First I'm an average sized 5'10" 190lb man. I had to adjust all straps to their maximum lengths just to come close to fitting. The waist strap barely holds on. The others are nearly at their limits. Only the medium is available, but a large would have been far more comfortable and useful. Please order way before your surgery. This is the most complex arm sling that I’ve used. This isn’t your typical sling that you just secure a strap around you neck, this arm sling immobilizes either right or left arm so that your not going to accidentally reinjure it. This sling is best that you have a helper to fasten the Velcro closures for you so that the fit and comfort is to your liking. If you ever need to immobilize your arm due to an injury; this is the arm sling that I’d choose.

This sling really does it all, and if you need complete immobilization after a surgery or injury this is the way to go. It has both the shoulder straps as well as a waist strap to make sure your arm doesn't go anywhere, and the pillow is removable and adjustable to meet your needs. The material and make all seem pretty sturdy, including the stitching, velcro, and hardware, so I'm confident this will last a long time! I'm really pleased with this sling.

I had torn my rotator cuff years ago and still have pain that flairs up if I move my arm the wrong way. I am not currently in pain, however I did a test fit of this to see how well it will keep me from moving my arm for when it does inevitably happen again and it fit very well. It also did a pretty good job of keeping my arm immobilized and I’m hoping it’ll help me not make things worse in the future.

This is one I hope people don't have to wait for one while there arm is broke. Worked perfectly fine held arm still and was comfortable too! Had no issues putting on everything was straight forward!

I may have to stick with a traditional sling because getting this Velpeau on by myself was quite a workout. If you have someone who can separate the sections from the various Velcro pads and assist with putting it on, it works fine and is very supportive. That Velcro is super strong and I’ve already ripped the threads on one of the tabs when I separated two of the pieces.
