Review on VELPEAU Arm Sling With Abduction Pillow For Men Women, Shoulder Support Immobilizer For Rotator Cuff, Surgery, Dislocated, Clavicle Fracture, Broken Arm, With Therapy Ball, Pocket, Fits Left & Right(Medium) by Tyson Mosucka

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Well made brace but the smaller sizing would make it unusable for a lot of adults.

I really want to give this brace a higher score, but there are a couple of things that really hold it back. Everything feels sturdy and durable from the fabric, stitching and handgrip. The torso strap and shoulder harness connect to the arm with three pronged plastic clasps like the ones on a fanny pack or certain over the shoulder bags, but if they're not being stressed to their absolute limit I don't see them being a major point of failure. There is a high level of customization for the angle of the arm brace because both of the pillows are fully removeable and attach via large velcro patches. The trade off for the modular velcro design is that it makes the initial setup more complex, and the english instructions aren't the clearest making you more reliant on the pictures. Putting this on with one good arm is also a bit of a challenge. It's easier if you only unbuckle the torso belt and the velcro holding your arm in when taking it off.The main issue with this brace for most people is the sizing. The listing does say medium but focuses mainly on the arm sizing when the strap length is more important. The torso strap that secures it around your midsection maxes out at 26 and a half inches (67 centimeters). The strap length from the top of the shoulder to the arm buckle is a bit difficult to get exact but I would put it at about 15-16 inches (38-39 centimeters). You don't have to be super thick or tall for either of those to be an issue. If either of the buckling straps were adjustable for a few extra inches it would make a world of difference, but as is I don't think most adults would be able to wear this as intended.

As comfortable as you can get given that you need shoulder surgery. Mostly adjustable just needed to add a small strip of velcro to the waist strap. Otherwise everything else can be pulled apart and adjusted with the velcro that is firmly on it. All the pillow covers can be removed and washed. Fabric that comes in contact with your skin seems relatively soft , thick, sturdy, but breathable and comfortable. Would recommend.
