Although relatively inexpensive, I decided to buy my own doorstop for my office at work out of the bag. With the new carpet we have, the door stops we used to have in our building no longer worked on the heavier doors. I hopped onto Revane to find a doorstop with "teeth" to bite into and hold my door open. I found this doorstop and it seemed pretty strong for its size. I read the description twice and saw no mention of what uses it was recommended or not for, so I ordered it! The first day I threw it on the floor and confidently slammed the door. However, if the shoe wasn't adjusted a certain way, it wouldn't last. Often someone would come into my office and shut the door behind them (private conversation) and when they left they would try to use the stopper but to no avail. I've seen this doorstop warp with a 90 degree bend in the middle because it was absolutely difficult to get it to work. Sure, he reverted to his normal form, but he didn't hold the door open. I'm pretty sure this doorstop will hold any size door open, but WITHOUT a door closer. If you can use this @me and I will send it to you. It's useless to me.
