We have lived in this house for 6 years and have struggled with FM reception the whole time. We're not sure what changed, but after occasional reception problems with the high-gain indoor unit, we suddenly lost reception, and moving the indoor antenna and adjusting the gain didn't help. We bought a Britta loop antenna and mounted it on the back of the roof using a simple J-bracket. We put the cable through the same little hole as the TV cable and suddenly we got channels we didn't even know were available. Living in the desert we don't have many stations but we now have ten available and they are all very clear and strong - good stereo quality and virtually no hiss, hiss or background noise. This was the answer to our FM reception problems! "I don't know why we waited so long! This is a very good antenna and considering the reasonable price it is worth the money.
