This Panasonic 1.2 cc. ft. The 1200-watt microwave seems to pack a punch. It's only just over 20 inches wide, but the cavity is large, as is the turntable, so there's plenty of room for things like pots to spin freely. Inverter technology together with the Genius function, which detects the presence of steam to determine when food is being cooked, make this model unique. I used to have a microwave with inverter technology and it made a difference, especially with denser dishes like frozen lasagna. The appearance is smooth and almost mirror-like. I couldn't take a picture because I could only see my kitchen and my reflection in it. The keyboard is normal, with numbers that I like. My last microwave had a 1 minute button and I used it every day. I will miss that. It has a 30 second button, but that means you have to press it twice to hit the minute. It is not so hard. It just takes some getting used to. It's a small thing, but it's been bugging me for a long time. If you press the button to open the door, you won't miss the microwave! It has rubber feet to keep it in place. That's why I mostly buy microwaves with a handle. I just don't chase after him. The only downside I found is that the light inside the oven is minimal. I believe it's a single LED, which probably saves bulb replacements, but it's just not enough to see if the cheese on your pasta plate is completely melted or not. Two LEDs - one on each side - would be better if you go that route. This microwave oven comes with one of the most detailed instruction manuals I have ever seen. They cover everything from safety to the utensils to use; from the food layout to the right food temperature for the meat. You should have it handy to refer to. This model even has a keep-warm function for up to 30 minutes. The downside is that you have to press the power level button 11 times to reach this level. As a test, I tried a frozen dish - pasta in sauce with chicken nuggets. I followed the package directions for 4 minutes on high speed, mixed, reconstituted, then another 2 minutes and everything was cooked to perfection. Neither the nuggets nor the pasta were overcooked. Sometimes the meat in the mixed dish had hard edges as the microwave replaced those. The fresh breakfast rolls from the ice fridge were perfect. One minute and boom! Ready! I'll update my review if anything changes, but for now I like my new Panasonic.
