This mount is very heavy but the 48 inch TV I installed only weighed 17 pounds so I can't say it did it is a heavy TV. I had no problem stretching out my arm and turning the TV sideways so it was at a 90 degree angle to the wall. This one-arm off-centre wall mount comes in handy when you want to swivel your TV to the side. You can rotate the TV almost 180 degrees so it can be viewed from either side of the room or anywhere in between. I am planning to buy another one for a customer who wants to put the TV in an old TV cabinet with a smaller opening than the TV. The TV is on the outside of the cabinet but it needs to be extended so you can reach the cables. The long arm and off-center mount allow me to mount it on the side of the closet it's too deep to fit in the back. Very heavy TV and it just had to move back and forth with less pan left and right. Slight momentum. I would use a double hand for more power.
